Dependable. Creative. Ready to Grow in Film & Television.
Landon Shanley
I’m a Film and Television student at LSU with a background in theatre tech and a growing body of work in short films and student productions. I started off helping with lighting and run crew for extra credit, but what began as obligation quickly turned into passion. That momentum carried me into film—working on Geaux Films and indie student shorts, where I learned on set, made lasting connections, and honed my skills.
I’ve worked as a light board operator and a teacher, but my goal has always been to produce. I want to build stories from the ground up and see them through—from development to final cut. I’m aiming to become a producer and eventually a film commissioner for Baton Rouge, helping shape the creative scene that shaped me.
My approach to film—whether I’m on set, behind the scenes, or coordinating logistics—is about curiosity and commitment. I dive into each project like I’m catching up, because in some ways I am: I transferred into this world a little late, and that gives me a drive to keep learning, keep growing, and keep showing up.
I don’t mind doing the hard work. I want to learn every job on set, not just because I need the experience, but because I respect the process. For me, great storytelling comes from collaboration, and great collaboration starts with dependability, patience, and creativity.
